Annual General Body of AIGETOA, Malappuram was held at Chemists' Bhavan, Malappuram on 28th April 28, 2010. Hon. General Manager Sri. V. Jagadeesan was the chief guest on the occasion. Respected DGM(A) Sri. V.S. Regy also graced the occasion with his presence. AIGETOA Circle President Sri. Rajesh C and CHQ Vice President Sri. Anil Kani also attended the function. Total 40 members of AIGETOA, Malappuram attended the function to make it a grand success.
The meeting started with a silent prayer at 10.30 a.m. Hon. GMT inaugurated the function after the presidential address by SSA President Sri. Sambhu Chandran.
Hon. GMT delivered an inspiring and highly motivating speech which discussed many aspects of the day-to-day problems faced by BSNL and its employees. His speech was a clear indication of the expectation Hon. GMT has upon the GE-JTOs. He started from the comparison of revenue and profit of BSNL for the past years and again discussed why we are not able to take it to new heights. But he told that at the same situation other companies are able to double or even triple the total revenue over the years. He also instructed us collectively put pressure on the government to exempt BSNL from huge taxes and fees as other operators do since our company is not only service oriented. He advised to do the best for the betterment BSNL.
After GMT's address, Respected Deputy General Manager (Admn) addressed the meeting which focused mainly on the transformation of the changes in the status of the cadres and the necessity of each one of us to change according to what the time demands. His shared his experience in DOT which was highly inspiring and really encouraging.
AIGETOA Malappuram is really grateful to Hon.GMT and DGM (A) for blessing the general body with their esteemed presence and valuable advice.
An open session with the GMT was also conducted. He also assured to positively consider the suggestions made by AIGETOA for improving the services and also for solving some employee related issues.

A seminar on EPF was also conducted in the afternoon. Respected DGM (F) Sri. A.H.R. Pandyan inaugurated the function. Sri. V.Kochu, Enforcement Officer, EPFO, Kozhikode conducted the seminar. In addition to the members of AIGETOA, many DR TTAs and TOAs who are covered under EPF also attended the seminar. The session was very interactive and informative.

AIGETOA Kannur SSA organised a seminar on EPF Scheme. The seminar was conducted by Shri. Balakrishnan A, Asst. PF Commissioner, EPFO Kannur. The seminar was inagurated by Shri. Thampi S.S., GMTD Kannur. Shri. Sureshbabu V.O., DGM Admin gave the welcome address. Direct-recruit TTAs,TOAs and AOs were also invited. Shri. Vikramdas, AO Bills was also present at the seminar and clarified the doubts of the members regarding the implementation of the EPF scheme in BSNL. The session was very interactive and informative.
