Operation Sacrifice

AIGETOA defers the ongoing agitation on active intervention and assurance of Hon'ble Minister of Communication & IT, Thiru A Raja and request the members to join their offices immediately.

The Dharna began at 10 o'clock. Slogans were raised against the mismanagement of BSNL by the ITS. Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal, former MoS for Communication was the first eminent personality to address the members. He motivated our members to remain commited to the task ahead and congratulated us for taking the initiative to bring about best PSU culture in BSNL. He also advised us to get political consensus on our agenda. He rounded off his speech by coining the slogan First the Nation, Second BSNL and last the Self.
The next speaker to address us was Shri. Pappu Yadav, Ex MP. He advised us to remain united and achive our goals truthfully.
Media coverage continued today as well with some of the channels arranging live feeds from the venue.

Our mission is continuing with full vigour. All AIGETOAians reassembled at Jantar Mantar in full numbers. We reaffirmed our commitment to remain in Delhi until all our goals are met. CS from all circles addressed the members and stressed the need for perseverence.

AIGETOA Memebers gathered at Jantar Mantar to continue the Operation Sacrifice more rigorously. Today the numbers swelled to 5000 members, who all reached Delhi to sacrifice their day for a better future for the BSNL. Our Motto: ITS QUIT TO SAVE BSNL filled the air and motivated each and every member and public who have come to witness our dharna. Questions were asked by the media persons and the public as to who is responsible for the 97% decline in the profit of BSNL and we answered in one voice, UNDOUBTFULLY UNABSORBED ITS OFFICERS. GS R P Sahu, President Shilohu Rao, other members addressed the gathering and motivated the members to remain committed to bring about PSU Culture BSNL.
At 5 O'clock in the evening we marched towards parliament, holding aloft placards with the message 'SAVE BSNL' in one hand and lighted candle in the other. It was a unique moment in the history of BSNL. All the media channels and press reporters covered the event. The event gave a clear message to the BSNL management that the young blood of this organistion are committed to bring back its lost glory. Kairali Channel, India Vision, Amritha TV, JaiHind TV interviewed Circle President Shri Rajesh C.
Circle President along with the other members, visited Kerala House and gave representations to Shri Pitambara Kurup MP, KC Venugopal MP regarding the mismanagement of BSNL by these Guest ITS officers. They promised to convey the feeling of the agitating officers of BSNL to the Goverment.

At 11 O'clock GS R P Sahu, addressed the gathering in front of BSNL Corporate Office. More than 4000 executives from all over India gathered to become part of this historic event. All executives shouted slogans against corrupted unabsorbed ITS officers in BSNL and the mismanagement of BSNL. BSNL Management got shocked on seeing this gathering and in desperation, called the police to forcilbly evict the executives and we marched towards Jantar Mantar to continue our dharna .
The Dharna continued with further vigour and the event was covered extensively by various media channels.
